Actions
The Actions tab is where the user can open, close and manage actions for the primary item.

Pressing the Add Action button will open a new window where the user can assign a description and priority.

The action will then appear in the table of the Actions tab of the
primary item.
Users can bulk edit the Open/Closed status of actions or change priorities by using the checkboxes on the lefthand side and clicking the edit drop down and selecting the appropriate option.

For detailed editing of an action, click on the three dots in the green circle to the left of the defect, this will open a new Defects window.

Here the user can toggle the Open/Closed status of the action, add a comment, enter information into one of the two user defined fields, or look at the history of the action to see what changes have been made and by who. User defined fields can be used to store any data that doesn’t fit into the predefined fields, they are commonly used to link actions to asset management/maintenance systems such SAP or Maximo. Data contained in the comment field is not printed to the generated Inspection Work Pack (IWP). The Create Defect button can be used to close the current action and create a defect, the user will be prompted to enter a new description for the defect.
NOTE: Some fields on this page cannot be edited directly by the user, marked by a grey textbox. The tag, site, area and description are all taken from the equipment details in the tag browser. The Type is the type of action selected by the user when creating the action on Ex-Online, or will be ‘Follow Up’ when the action is generated from an Inspection Check Sheet (ICS). Action Details are populated from comments on the ICS or from the description entered on Ex-Online, once entered these details cannot be edited. Open date is the date and time in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) when the action was created through either manual entry or import of an ICS.
