Types of Documents
Certificate – Certificate of Conformity
Annex – Annex or supplementary sheet associated with a certificate of conformity
Photo – Photograph of image
Drawing – Drawing, other than an area classification drawing (e.g. electrical drawings, layouts, installation details)
Justification – Justification for use of equipment with alternative or non-standard certification e.g. Conformity Assessment Document - CAD
Inspection – Inspection record
Calculation – Relevant calculations e.g. Intrinsically Safe, Heat Dissipation
Hazardous Area Classification Document – Hazardous Area Classification document – drawing, report, schedule etc.
Manufacturer Document –Manufacturer Document e.g. operation manual, installation instructions
Qualification – Qualification, CV of Competency document
Other – Miscellaneous
Documents Tab
All documents pertaining to a project may be viewed from the documents tab

View – Opens the selected documents in the Ex-Online document viewer.
Download – Downloads the selected document.
Delete – Deletes the selected documents from the project. Clicking this function will warn the user and tell them how many documents they are about to delete. Deleted documents cannot be retrieved and will be automatically unlinked from relevant equipment items.
Update – Unlike the Equipment tab, items in the document tab cannot be updated through clicking on values in the grid view. Changes are made through the update button, which will open the selected document in the Update Document window. NOTE: This function is disabled if more than one document is selected
Doc. Type – The type of document can be changed using this drop down, for more information on the different types of documents, refer to Document Types
Issue – The Issue/Revision number of the document can be changed here
Doc. No – The document number can be changed here
Desc. – The description of the document can be changed here
Upload File – A new file can be uploaded to replace an existing document, clicking the Browse button will open the file explorer so the user can navigate to the replacement document and upload it.
No changes will take effect until the user clicks the update button, clicking cancel or the close button will discard any changes made
Search / Replace – The search and replace function will find text from the search box within the specified field and replace it with the text from the replace with box. Prefixes and Suffixes can be added to the specified field.
Filter – Filters the equipment and associated equipment to show items linked to the selected documents
Linked Equipment – This column contains the number of items the document is attached to. Clicking this number will apply a filter to Equipment/Associated Equipment showing only items the document is attached to
Type – This field shows what type of document it is, for more information on the different types of documents refer to Types of Documents section below.
Document Number – A document number used to refer to the document
Issue Number – The issue or revision number of the document if relevant
Description – A description of the document
Original Filename – The original filename used to upload the document
