Equipment Documents

The Documents tab of the Equipment window is where the user can view, download or modify linked Equipment Documents.
Type – The type of document, for more information on different document types, refer to Document Types
Document No. – A number/string used to identify the document
Issue – The issue or revision number of the document
Description – A short description for the document
Supported Filetypes
The currently supported file types for documents in Ex-Online are:

JPG
-
PNG
-
GIF
Selected Document
View – Opens all currently selected documents in the Ex-Online Document Viewer
Download – Downloads the currently selected document
Update – Update the details or upload a new version of the currently selected document.
Primary Item
Buttons in this row will only affect the Primary Item; which is the item used to launch the Equipment window, and will not affect other selected items.
Add – This button will open the Add Document window where the user can select from existing documents or upload a new file to be linked to the primary item. An equipment item can only have one certificate attached to it, attempting to add a second will display a prompt asking the user to confirm the replacement of the existing certificate. If an IECEx Certificate is being used then the user does not need to upload a document as Ex-Online will automatically get the latest issue of the certificate or the specified issue number.

Select from Existing Documents
The table will display all Documents in the current project, clicking on a row on the table will select that document and allow it to be viewed, downloaded or added to the primary item through the buttons below. NOTE: Only one document can be selected at a time in this window
Add New
Users can upload a new equipment document here by filling out the required fields, browsing for the file in file explorer and then clicking the Add New Document button. This will automatically link the document to the primary item
Delete – This button will delete all currently selected documents, there is no confirmation prompt between clicking the delete button and the documents being deleted. This change cannot be reversed except by restoring a backup or re-uploading and linking documents
Selected Items
Copy Selected Docs – Copy Selected Documents will copy all selected documents from the primary item and then link them to all selected items in the tag browser.
Remove Selected Docs – Remove Selected Documents will remove selected documents in the primary item from all selected items in the tag browser.
